Faculty members are responsible to GRCC and to each other for the successful completion of departmental work, as well as associated with the Instructional Support and Institutional Planning and GRCC as a whole. In addition to the major position responsibilities, it is expected that faculty demonstrate outstanding communication skills, collaborate effectively, use personal initiative to overcome obstacles and work efficiently to meet deadlines. Compensation: Bachelor's Degree $66,813 -$73,227 or Master's Degree $71,474 - $78,978. Final offers will be based on full-time college-level teaching and/or industry experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Supervise and coordinate all tutoring in the Health Sciences Tutoring and Learning Center that includes Dental, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Radiology Technology and other Allied Health courses.
• Recruit, select, hire, train, schedule, supervise, evaluate and serve as mentor to professional staff and student tutors/assistants.
• Tutor students individually and in groups.
• Participate in the development and delivery of tutor training for all GRCC tutors and develop and deliver subject-specific training for direct reports.
• Develop tutoring strategies to meet the needs of a diverse learning population.
• Ability to work effectively with and relate to a diverse community college student population.
• Support department's CRLA accreditation by assisting with re-accreditation.
• Stay current with Departmental curricula in the School of Health Sciences as well as best practices and research in learning theory and practice.
• Maintain a positive, warm and welcoming learning environment.
• Promote and develop students' academic success by encouraging independent, self-actualized learning.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Educational Credentials
• Bachelor's Degree required in Nursing or Health Science program (Dental, Occupational Therapy, Radiology Technology). Master's Degree in relevant field Preferred.
• Certification or Licensure in field of study may be required
Work Experience
• Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience in the professional field of study required. Two plus years preferred
• Two (2) years' experience teaching/tutoring in Nursing and/or Health Sciences strongly preferred
Skills
• Experience working with computer software systems and electronic health records
• Ability to utilize and manage virtual meeting software
• Experience and ability to use student learning resources and Learning Management Systems.
Physical Demands
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, bend, twist, ambulate around campus and sit for long periods and may travel to off campus sites.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to assist students and staff in a professional manner.
Working Conditions

• Ability to work in a high traffic, indoor academic lab environment.
