A Master Electrician is a highly skilled professional responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. They oversee projects, ensure code compliance, and may supervise apprentices and journeyman electricians.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement safe, effective solutions
- Supervise and train apprentice and journeyman electricians
- Plan and layout electrical systems for new construction and renovations
- Inspect electrical systems and identify hazards or code violations
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project managers
- Maintain tools, equipment, and safety standards
- 40 hour work week, working 4 10 hour shifts.
