FANUC Robot Operator (Shot Peen) - 1st Shift | Direct Hire
The Adecco Permanent Recruitment team is partnering with a Metro Detroit-based aerospace manufacturer to hire a FANUC Robot Operator for a full-time, direct hire opportunity on 1st shift .
This role offers the opportunity to work in a specialized aerospace process (shot peening) with hands-on robot programming, training provided, and long-term growth potential.
Schedule & Compensation
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Pay: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)
Employment Type: Direct Hire (Full-Time)
Key Responsibilities
Create and modify FANUC robot programs for shot peening applications
Read and interpret technical instructions, blueprints, and customer/government requirements
Support development of technical plans for new parts
Prepare parts for processing, including cleaning, masking, and marking exclusion areas
Perform visual inspections to ensure proper coverage and quality
Load and unload parts onto fixtures and robotic systems
Monitor process parameters and machine settings to ensure consistency
Maintain material traceability throughout the production process
Perform basic program backups and routine equipment support
Accurately enter and track work in the MRP system (Visual Shop)
Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety protocols
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
1+ year of experience with FANUC robot programming or operation
Ability to read and follow complex technical instructions and prints
Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn specialized processes
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical & Work Environment
Extensive standing and walking; repetitive bending/stooping
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and handle heavier materials with equipment
Exposure to industrial machinery and chemicals (proper PPE required)
Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet production demands
