Shipping & Receiving Clerk - 1st Shift | Direct Hire
The Adecco Permanent Recruitment team is partnering with a Metro Detroit-based aerospace manufacturer to hire a Shipping & Receiving Clerk for a full-time, direct hire opportunity in Warren, MI.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and has experience in shipping, receiving, and material handling.
Schedule & Compensation
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Pay: $21 - $24/hour
Employment Type: Direct Hire (Full-Time)
Work Days: Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities
Operate forklift and material handling equipment safely while following all dock safety procedures
Receive inbound materials and prepare outbound shipments, including repackaging, banding, and loading/unloading trailers
Process shipping and receiving documentation using ERP systems (BOLs, packing lists, scanners, barcoding)
Maintain accurate inventory tracking and material traceability
Store and organize raw materials using FIFO procedures
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of materials and engineering items
Maintain documentation and filing systems for all shipping and receiving activities
Perform daily equipment checks and ensure proper maintenance/charging of forklifts
Monitor and respond to customer portals and shipment updates
Ensure all employees, drivers, and visitors follow safety (EHS) procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
1+ year of shipping/receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience
Experience operating a forklift or willingness to obtain certification
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Pay Details: $21.00 to $24.00 per hour
