Job Description
This role requires a dynamic Software Engineer who thrives in an agile environment. You will be a key player in designing and implementing full-stack solutions, with a focus on creating innovative products that have never been developed before. Your work will involve developing microservices, integrating cloud components, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
Run agile sprints and daily scrums to ensure all goals are met and tasks are assigned.
Engage in full-stack development, wearing multiple hats as needed.
Design and implement changes based on evolving specifications and requirements.
Develop an integration strategy to connect cloud components effectively.
Collaborate with internal and outsourcing teams to achieve project objectives.
Design and build event-driven microservices and secure cloud architectures.
Essential Skills
5+ years of software engineering experience.
Proficiency in Python, Java, and SQL databases.
Experience with TCP protocols and cloud integration.
Familiarity with at least two dynamic languages (e.g., Ruby, Python) and one static language (e.g., Scala, C#).
Experience in designing and building APIs and custom protocols.
Strong understanding of network protocols such as TCP and HTTP.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Excellent communication skills for complex problem solving.
A constant desire to learn and explore new technologies.
Experience with IoT solutions and applying cybersecurity principles.
Proficiency in building and deploying AWS cloud systems.
Experience with containers and orchestration frameworks like Docker Swarm and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with Unix-like operating systems and Git.
Experience in all phases of software development, preferably with complex systems.

This is a Contract position based out of Oak Park, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $68.00/hr.
