Carpets and Upholstery Cleaning – 95%

Shampoo carpets in guest rooms and hallways of the hotel. Rotating schedule to clean 3 to 4 guest rooms per week and 5 hallways per month.

Clean and maintain all exterior rugs keeping them in pristine condition for VIP arrivals.

Clean upholstery in guest rooms and public areas as needed.

Maintain equipment and supplies.

Follow workplace safety standards.
Physical Demands: Requires walking/standing to a significant degree—possibly for entire shift. Requires ability to move fingers and hands quickly and easily. Requires ability to lift, bend, stretch and reach. Requires ability to push/pull machinery. Requires ability to communicate orally and in writing with hotel staff and guests.
Environmental Conditions: This role is located indoors with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
Essential Skills: Knowledge of applicable franchise standards and procedures. Must have ability to maintain schedule of cleaning. Must have ability to communicate any problems and/or unusual conditions to hotel management. Sweeping, mopping and scrubbing the floor surfaces of hotel. Cleaning carpets using an extraction machine or encapsulation and upholstery maintenance - carpet-cleaning experience is a plus. In some cases, you may have to move furniture for floor access or be asked to perform other light cleaning tasks.
Education/Vocational Preparation: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Must have ability to follow schedule and ability to perform physical labor.
