Aisin World Corporation of America seeks a Project Engineer (Roof) in Northville, MI to perform the following job duties: Develop and coordinate product specifications; Develop product specifications based on customer requirements, related parts specifications, and Aisin's design policy; Modify product specifications in accordance with product test results, vehicle test results, etc; Implement application design by adapting Aisin's original designs to meet customer requirements; Review and issue internal drawings and customer drawings; Develop evaluation plans and coordinate implementation; Analyze and interpret test results, take countermeasures as needed; Create and submit test reports to customers and Aisin departments as necessary; Coordinate engineering promotional activities and prepare necessary material (presentation materials, samples, test vehicles, etc.; Work with the sales department to develop sales strategies; Investigate technical trends, market trends, product trends, governmental regulations, etc.; Benchmark assigned products; Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S; and Position requires up to 5-10% domestic travel. Position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or other closely related degrees, and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupations. Must have 3 years of experience in the following skills: Relevant product design and development experience; CAD experience; DFMEA and GD&T; Stamped panel development; and Cost estimation.
