Job Summary:
As the Maintenance Planner, you will have the lead role in ensuring that all equipment and machinery is properly maintained, repaired and if necessary, replaced in a timely manner. Your role includes managing our preventive maintenance program, ordering required parts and supplies, tracking costs associated with repairs or replacements, scheduling of maintenance activities and tracking KPI indicators. The main goal is to ensure that all production processes run efficiently without interruption. The maintenance planner's job is a crucial part of our maintenance and reliability program and this is a key role in driving the success of our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and scheduling of maintenance personnel.
- Develop and implement a robust preventive maintenance program. This includes working with product development, manufacturing engineering, maintenance and testing teams to refine, develop and establish equipment PM’s. This includes facilities items as well.
- Develop and implement a predictive maintenance program to ensure inspections of equipment and facilities for signs of wear or damage and understanding repetitive problems related to machinery breakdowns or malfunctions.
- Scheduling of PM activities with Production and Maintenance Teams.
- Monitoring and ordering parts and supplies as needed.
- Tracking costs associated with repairs or replacements.
- Coordinating with outside vendors for specialized services if required.
- Weekly KPI reporting of completion and effectiveness. Monitor and analyze manufacturing metrics, such as yield, cycle time and equipment uptime, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct regular assessments of the preventative maintenance program, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends to recommend new technologies which could improve efficiency, such as analytical approaches or better asset condition monitoring.
Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in the area of Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing, or a related field or equivalent job experience.
- Professional experience (minimum 5 years) in facilities management, manufacturing, or maintenance planning roles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment with changing priorities and requirements.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, word, etc.) required, PLEX highly desirable.
