About the Opportunity
Smurfit Westrock is a global leader in sustainable packaging solutions. As the Director of Sales for Automated Packaging Systems (APS), you will lead regional sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and oversee high-performing sales teams across the East U.S.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop APS Equipment Specialists and sales teams
- Drive regional revenue growth and profitability (EBITDA targets)
- Build and manage a strong, strategic sales pipeline
- Expand new business and grow existing customer accounts
- Align sales strategy with plant capabilities and margin targets
- Prioritize and close high-impact sales opportunities
- Oversee pricing approvals and contract agreements
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance tracking
- Manage customer credit processes and receivables
- Ensure compliance with company policies and operational standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of relevant sales experience
- 1–3 years of leadership or management experience
- Strong B2B sales background (manufacturing/service industries preferred)
- Proven success in new business development
- Experience presenting to senior leaders and decision-makers
- Budgeting and P&L management experience (preferred)
- Experience with CRM/pipeline tools, Microsoft 365, and AutoCAD (preferred)
