Job Description
Insight Global is hiring a Purchasing Manager for a manufacturing client. This person owns procurement and material flow for the operations team. They manage suppliers, place purchase orders, track shipments, and make sure production never stops. They work with operations, warehouse teams, and quality teams. They keep inventory at the right levels and fix issues with delays or shortages. They use the ERP daily to update orders and material status. They help drive cost savings without hurting quality. Some travel to suppliers or local facilities may happen.
Candidates will use an ERP every day. NetSuite is preferred by the client. ERP systems help track POs, inventory, receiving, and supplier data. They also use email, spreadsheets, and shared documents to communicate with operations and warehouse teams.
This environment moves fast. Schedules shift based on production needs. Materials must be routed to the right site on time. The candidate works with teams in operations, warehouse, quality, and outsourced manufacturing groups.

Skills and Requirements
3 or more years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with ERP tools
Strong communication skills
Ability to manage supplier relationships
Experience tracking shipments and material flow
Background supporting production or operations teams
Strong organizational and analytical ability - NetSuite experience
Experience with logistics coordination across multiple sites
Lean manufacturing familiarity
Project management experience
Experience working with contract manufacturers
