About the Opportunity
Smurfit Westrock is a global leader in sustainable packaging solutions. As a Warehouse Operator, you will support daily warehouse operations by handling materials, fulfilling orders, and maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment
- Load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse
- Receive, sort, and store incoming products
- Prepare and assemble customer orders for shipment
- Record inventory and shipment data in system (Victory)
- Label and track inventory accurately
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization
- Conduct inventory counts and assist with stock control
- Inspect product quality and ensure shipment accuracy
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift certification required
- 1+ year of warehouse experience preferred
- Basic computer skills (preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, etc.)
- Safely operate warehouse equipment
Work Environment
- Warehouse setting with machinery and moving equipment
- Exposure to varying temperatures
- Safety-focused environment with required PPE
