We're looking for a skilled, detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Painter & Wallpaper Installer in the Grand Traverse area. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in
high-quality craftsmanship, enjoys transforming spaces, and can work independently or as part of a crew.
Responsibilities
• Prepare surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding, caulking, and repairing imperfections
• Apply interior and exterior paint using brushes, rollers, and sprayers
• Measure, cut, and install wallpaper with precision
• Remove old wallpaper and ensure surfaces are properly prepped
• Protect furniture, flooring, and fixtures during projects
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Communicate clearly with clients and team members
• Follow safety procedures and company standards
Qualifications
• Experience in residential or commercial painting (5+ years required)
• Wallpaper installation experience (5+ years required)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders
• Dependability and punctuality
• Professional attitude and customer-service

• Competitive pay based on experience and longevity, starting at $25 / hr.
• Monday through Friday 8am - 4pm
• 40 hr./ week with single workweek to compute wages / biweekly pay by check
• Employer to make all deductions required by law from employee paycheck
• Assistance in securing lodging to be provided for employee needing to relocate for the position, with all costs being disclosed and voluntary
• If the employee completes 50% of the contract, the employer will reimburse all inbound travel expenses and daily subsistence while traveling from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily meals will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 /day during travel to a maximum of $68 /day with receipts.
