Requires a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering and 84 months of related experience as a CAE Engineer or related position The required experience must include performing finite element analysis using tools like Hypermesh, Abaqus, and LS-Dyna to analyze complex components, sub-assemblies, and systems, drawing engineering conclusions. Simulate system responses using both linear and nonlinear methods. Utilize CAE tools such as Hyperwork, Optimization/Optistruct, Ansa, FEMFAT, Ansys, and GoM, and engage in CAE process automation with advanced AI and ML tools, including LLMs. Experience with exterior product lines, including front and rear fascia, bumper systems, rocker panels, side trims, sills, and flares, as well as modules like automatic running boards, closures, liftgate, tailgate, doors, and spoilers, is essential. Proficiency in CAE material modeling for plastics, including thermal plastic resin, fiber-reinforced composites, carbon-fiber materials, and polypropylene, using Digimat, is required. Design tools for thermoplastic injection molded parts, including mold-flow, gates, manifolds, and cooling lines. Provide resource management to run a lean and efficient team, delivering effective solutions for all commodities and tools. Manage budgets, resources, and programs to provide cost-effective CAE solutions on demand. Integrate CAE solutions into the broader spectrum of engineering solutions during both digital and physical program phases. Enhance CAE and engineering operations through process automation using the latest software tools and AI/ML technologies.
