Position Purpose:
Assists in the examination and treatment of wound clinic patients by tracking patient information, documenting in the medical record, assisting with in-office procedures and testing, administering medications, and providing patients and caregivers with educational materials, instructions, and directions.
What the Medical Assistant Will Do:
Assistingwith room preparation between patient visits
Administrativeduties like checking patients in and out
scheduling referrals and follow-ups
Obtaining document signatures
Takingphone calls, and providing lab results
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Successful completion of accredited/approved: MA program and MA externship, MA internship, EMT, or Paramedic program
0-1 yearpreviousclinical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. In absence of completed MA
Program/Externship/Internship, must have 2+ years' clinical experience providing clinical support in community-based clinic and be subject to standardized testing and evaluation of clinical skills
