We are looking for persons looking to gain experience in direct care and to make a difference in the lives of a few young adults, with Developmental Disabilities, living in Marquette. Your care will help these young people live as independently as possible.
As part of a team, staff encourage, supervise, and assist residents in personalcare and independent living. This includes shopping, meal prep, cooking, and cleaning. Staff will also assist and help with socializing and recreation by participating in activities such as: crafts, games, movies, walking/hiking/biking, and attending community events.
The ideal candidate has experience working with people who face barriers and can naturally employ positive and respectful methods to help out residents with disabilities grow their independent skills and everyday living.
Staff will get on sight training including: PCM, ROM, and Adult CPR and First Aid Training
Basic Requirements Include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work any shifts (Days, evenings, midnights, and weekends)
- A good driving record
- A valid driver's license
- Positive, compassionate, and motivating attitude
- Team Player
- Ability to walk, stand, lift and carry up to 50 Lbs.
- Willing to participate in outdoor and indoor sports/activities

Wage Range $15 to $17
