Security Officer Positions – Flint, MI
Volunteer Security is currently hiring Security Officers and a Mobile Patrol Supervisor for multiple residential properties in the Flint area. We are looking for reliable, alert, and professional individuals who take pride in protecting people and property.
Position 1: Stationary Security Officer
Primary Responsibilities:
- Check in all visitors using valid identification
- Maintain control of building access points
- Prevent and address loitering in lobbies and outside entrances
- Ensure doors are not propped open
- Enforce no smoking policies in stairwells and common areas
- Monitor and operate camera surveillance systems
- Maintain a visible, professional presence at all times
Expectations:
- Stay alert and engaged (no distractions)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle situations calmly and professionally
Position 2: Mobile Patrol Supervisor
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct patrols across four assigned properties
- Patrol townhouse parking lots looking for:
- Loitering
- Suspicious activity

- Check on stationary officers to ensure:
- Proper performance
- Post coverage

- Conduct foot patrols inside buildings
- Monitor video surveillance systems at multiple locations
- Respond to issues and provide on-site leadership
Patrol Structure:
- Rotate between all locations
- Spend approximately 1 hour per site (adjust based on activity and needs)
- Act as the lead/supervisor on duty
Expectations:
- Strong decision-making and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record preferred
- Must be proactive—not reactive
