Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Job Description
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for meeting business objectives in terms of safety, quality, productivity, and responsiveness. This role involves counseling and supporting hourly employees, addressing performance behaviors, and engaging the workforce for ideas through the Quality Network problem-solving process. The supervisor will improve layouts and efficiency using the Workplace Organization process, ensure accurate payroll processing, and document problem-solving activities. Daily responsibilities include conducting huddle-up meetings, performing safety observations, planning workloads, supporting shift performance, enforcing shop rules, and advancing skills through the Individual Development Plan process.
Responsibilities
Meet business objectives regarding safety, quality, productivity, and responsiveness.
Counsel and support hourly employees with their needs and concerns.
Address performance behaviors, commend positives, and discipline negatives.
Engage workforce for ideas using the Quality Network problem-solving process.
Apply Workplace Organization process to improve layouts and efficiency.
Perform daily Timekeeping System updates for accurate payroll processing.
Document problem-solving activities using A-3 reporting format.
Conduct daily huddle-up meetings for business performance communication.
Perform weekly safety observation tours and document findings.
Plan daily workload in advance.
Support colleagues to optimize shift performance.
Observe contractual requirements and enforce shop rules.
Perform daily SOP audit checks.
Advance skills through the Individual Development Plan process.
Keep the General Shop Committee apprised of pending activities.
Essential Skills
Supervisory skills in inventory, logistics, and direct supervision of union employees.
Ability to lead, motivate, and perform progressive discipline.
Experience in a union environment and warehouse management.
Proficiency in shipping and receiving operations.
Experience with kronos, automotive manufacturing, and parts distribution.
Knowledge of safety procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
2-5 years of warehouse experience.
Supervision of UAW employees.
Experience with Scan gun systems and WMS.
Strong people skills for communication with a diverse workforce.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving skills and performance maintenance under challenges.
Experience in direct supervision/management in a union environment.
Ability to lead process improvements or special projects.

Work Environment
The position operates within a 2 million sq. ft. facility, with shifts from 6am - 2pm/3pm for the first shift, and 3pm - 11pm for the second shift. Flexibility for shift changes is required for development purposes. Expect approximately 10 hours of overtime weekly. The dress code is business casual, with required PPE provided.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
