MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's Degree required
- Able to work with diverse populations
- Proven record of excellent customer service
- Able to project a positive public image
- Demonstrate good communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in public speaking
- Experience with Office/TEAMS, Edmentum, ZOOM, DocuSign, Internet, Email- Team player
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous successful experience working with Michigan Works! Programs
- Knowledge of Wagner Peyser, Workforce Investment Act(WIOA) and Trade Programs
- Knowledge of Great Lakes Bay Region and specifically Gratiot County.
DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE TO: Senior Program Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer telephones and provide job seeker assistance to walk in customers
- Recruit participants for enrollment into WIOA and Trade Act programs
- Recognize barriers and make referrals to Career Coaches or outside agencies
- Perform general office duties: operate fax and copy machine, filing, document composition, sort and distribute mail
- Perform month end duties: data collection, client activity reports, EEO and Complaint reports
- Assist participants with using computers for job searching
- Collect office supply orders and make sure supplies are fully stocked
- Facilitate Reemployment Services Workshops
- Facilitate Job Seeker Workshops
- Provide follow-up services for Reemployment Services participants
- Ability to help job seekers with resumes and cover letters, including proofreading
- Maintain professional image
- Proficient with the use of computers, software (Word, PowerPoint and Excel), ZOOM, DocuSign
- Have knowledge of local community service agencies and resources in the Great Lakes Bay Region and specifically Gratiot County
- Have knowledge of agencies/services provided at Michigan Works!
- Participate and contribute to committee work/ teamwork, willing to learn and use Goal4It Coaching processes and strategies.
- Implement Goal4It when working with participants
- Other duties as assigned
