JOB DESCRIPTION:
Administer and maintain ALM and PLM platforms, including user management, permissions, upgrades, and plugin configurations. Collaborate with engineering, product management, finance, and IT to analyze requirements and design scalable workflows, aligning product development with financial planning. Develop and optimize workflows in ALM/PLM systems to enhance traceability, change control, and impact analysis, improving operational efficiency and audit readiness. Diagnose and resolve system issues in ALM/PLM environments, including performance tuning, data integrity, and integration failures with upstream/downstream tools (e.g., ERP, CAD). Perform SAP configuration, functional testing, and business process optimization with finance and operations teams, ensuring accurate cost capture and compliance. Execute validation and regression testing for new releases, customizations, and third-party integrations using automated or manual testing protocols. Analyze and model project cost data using Python, advanced Excel, Power BI, and SAP reporting tools to deliver real-time visibility into budget consumption and financial performance. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for project tracking, resource utilization, and cost efficiency using Power BI, Tableau, and Polarion LiveDocs. Implement compliance protocols to ensure ALM/PLM configurations meet internal standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, SOX), and cost governance. Define, calculate, and report KPIs across engineering and financial workflows, such as cycle time, resource burn rate, and budget variance, supporting strategic planning. Provide training, documentation, and user support across departments to drive system adoption and ensure consistent use of standardized workflows.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Master’s degree in Engineering, Technical Business Administration in Data Analytics, or a related field and 2 years of work experience managing and analyzing costs of engineering projects.
Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in the following:
- Administration and configuration of Polarion ALM and ARAS Innovator PLM;
- SAP or QAD configuration, supporting related engineering processes;
- Engineering Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) management;
- Financial tracking for engineering projects, including budgeting and cost control;
- Supporting internal and external audit processes, including documentation review, system traceability, and compliance reporting;
- Managing cross-functional workflows in engineering and manufacturing environment;.
- Utilizing advanced Python, or basic Python and advanced Excel features, for analytics (Power Query, Pivot Tables, Macros, and Conditional Formatting) to clean data, automate tasks, and perform trend analysis and data transformation; and
- Working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, product management; and IT, to deliver process improvements, system integrations, and data-driven solutions.
Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in the following:
- Power BI for dashboard and report creation.
