CDL Class A Heavy Equipment Operator – Tow Truck Driver

Position Summary:
Operate heavy-duty tow trucks and equipment to transport disabled, illegally parked, or accident-involved vehicles, including large commercial vehicles and equipment. Responsible for safe vehicle recovery and transport operations while maintaining exceptional customer service and adherence to DOT regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CDL Class A tow trucks, including rotators, flatbeds, and heavy wreckers, to tow and recover a variety of vehicles and equipment.

• Respond to dispatch calls promptly and provide roadside assistance, accident recovery, winch-outs, and load shifts.

• Secure and transport vehicles safely in compliance with DOT, state, and local regulations.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tow trucks and equipment, documenting issues and ensuring safe operation.

• Maintain accurate logs of services performed, mileage, hours of service, and equipment usage.

• Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, law enforcement, and insurance representatives as you will be the face of the company while on the road.

• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment and vehicles.

• Must have good personal hygiene as we interact with the public and sometimes in the closeness of our truck cab.

• Assist with loading/unloading, rigging, and setting up recovery scenes as needed.

• Uphold safety standards and follow all traffic laws and company protocols.

• Should be a self-motivated worker to keep themselves busy without the need to have constant supervision.
• Pay will be based on experience and work ethic.
