Create, modify, and test the code for multiple computer application at the Bureau of Motor Vehicle, Maine. Write computer programs for Vehicle Service, including Titles and Registration, by generating sophisticated reports using Statistical Analysis Software and required advanced tools. Utilize BMV user needs business requirements and industry trends to inform application design. Design software solutions and coordinating activities with BMV stakeholders. Write computer programs to support the architecture of the systems on the operating systems such as Window/Linux, hardware/software, databases, and processes and to identify, analyze and resolve user problems and requirements. Develop and write SQL scripts, Programs, and functions to deal with database such as Oracle and SQL Server. Write Computer programs to store, locate and retrieve documents and data from BMV databases. Support production systems such as Driver Licensing Systems and Vehicle Services Systems and Upgrades to include changes mandated by the Maine Legislature, federal government, and America Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA).
This position requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related.
