Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer
Job Description
As a Supplier Technical Assistance Engineer, you will represent our client at manufacturing plants, taking a leadership role in product launch and current model quality and capacity. You will be empowered to make quality decisions on behalf of our client and authorize legal documents such as the Part Submission Warrant.
Responsibilities
Represent the client at manufacturing plants.
Lead product launch and current model quality and capacity initiatives.
Make quality decisions and authorize legal documents such as the Part Submission Warrant.
Essential Skills
Minimum 4+ years experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Systems/Processes (e.g., IATF), Continuous Improvement, or Lean in a manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
Strong knowledge of AIAG APQP and PPAP processes.
Strong manufacturing experience with program management and basic computer skills.
High level of interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse people, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Preferred experience in manufacturing processes such as Injection Molding and Seating.
Preferred commodity experience in Interiors, Injection Molding, and Seating.
Preferred problem-solving skills such as Green Belt / Black Belt, Red X, etc.
Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
Work Environment
The role involves working on-site 5 days per week in a plant floor setting within a production environment. This position offers exposure to plant manufacturing and assembly.

This is a Contract position based out of Dearborn, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.30 - $50.67/hr.
