Job Description
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
Gear Center (Primary Focus)
Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and gear-manufacturing equipment (hobbing, honing, grinding)
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and machining parameters
Perform machine setup verification and first-piece validation
Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust programs, and maintain tight tolerance and surface finish requirements
Install and adjust tooling, fixtures, chucks, and workholding
Perform preventive maintenance and escalate mechanical/electrical issues as needed
Manage in-process material flow and tooling inventory to support prototype schedules
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering on tooling, fixturing, and process improvements
Inspection / Metrology (Secondary)
Program and operate gear inspection systems (Gleason, Klingelnberg)
Program and operate CMM equipment for gears, shafts, bearings, housings, and drivetrain components
Perform surface finish inspections and open-setup measurements
Interpret inspection charts and generate inspection reports
Disposition nonconforming parts per client's Built-In-Quality requirements
Support root-cause analysis and data-driven corrective actions
E-Motor Lab Support
Support prototype and pre-production electric motor builds
Assist with defect analysis, repair, and rework
Operate lab equipment including presses, welders, balancers, ovens, induction heaters, hi-pot/surge testers
Perform electrical and mechanical testing per authorized procedures
Support fixture modification and tooling fabrication as needed
Compensation:
$45/hr to $50/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
