The Community / In-Home DSP supports individuals in their personal homes or community settings, assisting with daily living, errands, appointments, and social participation. This role helps clients maintain independence while living in the least restrictive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship, transportation, and non-medical personal support in client homes or community locations.
- Encourage client self-sufficiency and engagement in community life.
- Maintain accurate documentation of visits, activities, and care provided.
- Follow all safety and confidentiality procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience with community-based or in-home care preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation for travel between client locations.
- Flexible availability and strong communication skills.
Work Environment
- Serves two group home locations as needed.
- May require frequent schedule changes or travel between the 2 sites.
- Involves light physical activity such as cleaning, meal prep, and participation in community outings.
- Work hours are based on client care needs and may vary weekly depending on resident schedules and billing eligibility
Compensation
- Hourly rate: $17.13/hour.
- Position is contingent (no guaranteed hours); schedule is based on facility needs.
