Medical Assistants are crossed trained to learn front and back office job responsibilities, including -
Front Office:
- Learn our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) System – ATHENA
- Phones
- Check in/Check out
- Scheduling Appointments
- Insurance/Billing-basics
Back Office:
- Interacting with patients hands on to learn GREAT bedside manner
- Learning different types of testing: Pregnancy tests, Mono, Covid-19, UA Strep Tests
- Learning/Assisting on different procedures: Pap smears, Lesion removals, Suturing

- Offices will work with school scheduleIn general, work 16 hours/week in the office when classes are in session
