Position Overview
The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations and growth of the home care branch. This role focuses on generating referrals, hiring and supporting caregivers, and growing the branch census while ensuring services are delivered efficiently and in compliance with company policies.
The Branch Manager serves as the primary leader of the branch, directly supervising caregivers and managing local marketing efforts within the community. This position requires a hands-on leader who can balance operational responsibilities, team support, and relationship building to ensure the branch continues to grow and provide quality care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Branch Operations
- Oversee the daily operations of the branch to ensure services run efficiently.
- Monitor key operational indicators such as referrals, starts of care (SOCs), hiring activity, and census growth.
- Identify operational challenges and implement solutions to improve branch performance.
Caregiver Management
- Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet client needs.
- Provide ongoing support, coaching, and feedback to caregivers.
- Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable to performance standards.
- Address attendance, scheduling, and performance concerns when they arise.
- Complete disciplinary actions, when necessary, in accordance with company policies.
Client Support
- Build positive relationships with clients and families to ensure a high level of satisfaction with services.
- Respond to client needs or concerns and work collaboratively with the care team to support positive outcomes.
- Help ensure services are delivered in a way that meets the needs of clients while supporting caregivers in the field.
Marketing and Community Outreach
- Build and maintain relationships with referral partners within the community.
- Conduct local marketing efforts to generate referrals and grow branch census.
- Track referral activity and follow up to help convert referrals into active clients.
- Represent the branch professionally with community partners and referral sources.
Compliance and Administrative
- Ensure all files and documentation meet company and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor visit verification and documentation to maintain compliance.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and branch documentation.
- Ensure policies and procedures are consistently followed.
Experience and Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care, office management, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience supervising staff or leading a team strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams) or similar systems.

Starting Salary Range: $45,000–$50,000
