GENERAL SUMMARY
The Civilian Cadet supports daily operations across all three divisions of the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office (KCSO).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist Evidence Sergeant with daily evidence room tasks.
Assist the Quartermaster Sergeant with issuing uniforms and gear.
Participate in annual and semi-annual evidence room inventories.
Retrieve and transport evidence between the Sheriff's Office and the Crime Lab.
Answer incoming calls, provide information, or direct callers to appropriate personnel.
Maintain and update various records and information systems.
Perform related duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience

Applicant must be at least 18 years old by the start date of employment
High school diploma, GED, or current enrollment with plans to graduate
Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Required Licenses or Certifications

Valid Michigan Driver’s license
