Job Description Summary
As a Staff Endpoint Lifecycle Operations Engineer for the Digital Workplace team, you will play a key role in the continued design, build, and implementation of GE Aerospace's end-user devices.
We are looking for a PC Services Engineer with strong hands-on skills in BIOS, operating system (OS) validation and engineering, application packaging, and patching. In this role, you will build, validate, deploy, and maintain Windows-based PCs and laptops in an enterprise environment, ensuring stable, secure, and well-supported end-user devices.
You will maintain vital relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure services are deployed in a compliant manner, with a focus on quality and operational excellence. Critical to the success of this role is understanding service opportunities within the MSFT GCC High environment and driving strong policies with GE Aerospace's Cyber and Security teams. You will also play a key role in identifying and maintaining the endpoint service catalog and its representation across the ITSM toolsets in GE Aerospace.

Job Description
Role and Responsibilities:
PC Build, Imaging and BIOS Configuration
Configure and manage BIOS/UEFI settings for enterprise PC hardware
Create, maintain, and optimize standard PC images (golden images)
Ensure hardware and firmware compatibility across supported device models
OS Validation and Engineering
Plan and execute OS validation for new Windows builds, feature updates, and security releases
Perform compatibility testing for hardware drivers, core applications, and security tools
Document known issues, provide workarounds, and record validation results
Application Packaging and Deployment
Package and validate desktop applications for enterprise deployment
Maintain and update application packages, including dependencies and install/uninstall scripts
Collaborate with stakeholders to define packaging requirements and deployment schedules
Patching and Vulnerability Remediation
Plan and implement OS and application patching cycles
Monitor patch compliance, investigate failures, and remediate issues
Work with security teams to address vulnerabilities and meet compliance targets
Incident Resolution and Support
Act as an escalation point for complex PC-related incidents and problems
Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes
Provide technical guidance to service desk and field support teams
Documentation and Continuous Improvement
Create and maintain technical documentation , standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles
Identify opportunities to automate and streamline build, deployment, and patching processes
Contribute to continuous improvement of PC standards, tools, and service quality
Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement within endpoint lifecycle operations, leveraging industry best practices.
Design and Implementation: participate in the design, build, and implementation of end-user devices for GE Aerospace, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Maintain strong relationships with internal teams (e.g., Cyber and Security) and external vendors to ensure services are deployed effectively and meet quality and operational excellence standards.
Compliance & GCCH: Collaborate with GE Aerospace's Cyber and Security teams to develop and enforce robust policies within the MSFT GCC High environment, ensuring compliance and security.
Service Catalog Management: Identify, maintain, and optimize the endpoint service catalog, ensuring accurate representation across ITSM toolsets.
Product Portfolio Development: Continuously enhance the internal product portfolio to deliver increased value to GE Aerospace's global user base of 60,000+ employees.
Operational Excellence: Drive initiatives to improve the quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness of endpoint lifecycle operations, adhering to GE Aerospace's SQDC priorities.
Problem Resolution: Act as a subject matter expert to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to endpoint devices and services.
Compliance and Security: Ensure all endpoint lifecycle operations comply with regulatory requirements and GE Aerospace's security standards.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement within endpoint lifecycle operations, leveraging industry best practices.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of processes, policies, and service catalogs, and provide regular reporting on operational metrics and performance.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 7 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 9 years of professional experience
Minimum 2 year's (hands-on) experience of MSFT GCCH environment in relation to endpoint devices (Windows, Mac, IOS & Android), including build and deployment of policies and management toolsets.
Extensive understanding of CMMC and compliance structures and ability to build and deploy appropriate policies and controls to Mac, PC and mobile endpoints.
Minimum 3 years experience of deploying Intune features and functionality across global environments.
Demonstrated practical hands-on experience of working with Zscaler technology and ability to integrate application and policies into endpoint solutions.
Minimum 2 years' (hands-on) experience of working with MSFT Intune for endpoint devices, including MacOS and mobile.
Experience of maintaining Intune Company Portal attributes for a GCCH environment.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in asset & catalog management.
Excellent understanding of end user device technologies, operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android), and software applications.
Experience in device management, configuration, and deployment within an enterprise environment

Desired Characteristics:
Proven experience as a PC Engineer, Desktop Engineer, Endpoint Engineer , or similar role in an enterprise environment
Strong hands-on experience with:
BIOS/UEFI configuration and firmware management

Application packaging (e.g. MSI, scripts, or packaging tools)

Good understanding of:
