Design Engineer

Cook Mfg Company is a family-owned company that manufactures equipment for the industrial finishing industry. We are currently seeking a Design Engineer to join our team in Paris Michigan.

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of experience with Autodesk Inventor.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Design industrial equipment for the finishing industry. Examples of equipment include paint booths, powder coat booths, ovens, structural steel framework, etc.
• Prepare technical drawings and documentation to support new or existing product releases.
• Collaborate with customers to conceptualize new equipment designs.
• Assist and direct the production department during new product development and start up.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
• Strong written and oral communication.
• Basic understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics.
• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
