Overview
We are seeking a Groundman to join our busy team! The ideal candidate will be able to execute the assigned work or tasks by performing the following duties:
Responsibilities
- Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal
- Operate and maintain a variety of tools and machinery including pruning saws, chainsaws, and chippers
- Communicate effectively with other team members and management to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently
- Work from the ground using handsaws and pole saws
- Basic Chainsaw
- Basic Climbing
- Basic Aerial Lift Operation
- CPR/First Aid Certificate holder (we can help you obtain)
- Keep work area clean and orderly
- Perform related work as assigned
Job Requirements
- Experience in landscaping and/or tree trimming and pruning a plus
- Ability to operate a variety of equipment and machinery
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Willingness to work in challenging weather conditions
Additional experiences of benefit, including but not limited to:
- Certified Arborist
- Commercial Pesticide Applicator License
- CDL A License or willingness to obtain one
Applicants with a background in landscape maintenance and lawn care are encouraged to apply. We are willing to train the right person and assist with the cost of CDL licensure.
