Currently located conveniently off I-75 on Stephenson Hwy just north of 14 Mile Road in Troy, MI, we manufacture and distribute the highest quality wire cloth, robotic guarding, and wire partition products for customers around the world.

- $23.20* / Hour Starting Wage, with $0.50 / Hour raises every 6 months after date of hire until the top classification rate is obtained

Primary Responsibilities:
- Mig weld steel tube, angle, flat, wire mesh, expanded metal, and clips for fabrication of stock & custom robotic guarding safety fence panels, posts, and gates
- Translate product drawings into weld fixture settings within stated product tolerances
- Cut, drill & tap, & further process steel angle, tube, expanded metal, and other raw materials per product drawings / prints
- Build all jobs in accordance with defined production rates
- Complete order paperwork & tag and transfer completed orders to the painting department for powder coating
- Setup, operate, and conduct daily preventative maintenance on the mig welding machine
- Use shop floor equipment (grind wheels, cold saw, iron worker, etc.) as necessary
- Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and quality procedures
- Daily communication with painting, order filling, sales, and management to ensure timely production of all custom layout orders
- React to change positively and with a customer-first mindset
- Report on department inventory as scheduled or as necessary
- Demonstrated competency may provide the opportunity for more complex fabrication work along with an immediate increase in pay
Required Qualifications:
- Must have great attention to detail (a high degree of accuracy in completing quality work the first time around is an absolute must)
- Must possess a positive, can-do attitude and be self motivated
- Must be team oriented and customer service driven
- Must have an aptitude for learning & a willingness to be trained
- 3+ Years of mig layout welding experience preferred; ability to pass a mig layout welding test required
- Experience reading prints / drawings and setting a welding fixture within stated tolerances
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to lift 60 LBs; ability to stand, bend, and weld for long periods of time
- Experience using shop equipment (i.e. grind wheels, cold saw, iron worker, etc.)
- Ability to use a tape measure, scale, calculator, micrometer, and caliper
- Fundamental math skills (addition, subtraction, division, & multiplication)
- Ability to arrive on time for a guaranteed 40 hour (7AM-3:30PM) work week Monday through Friday (1.5x pay for voluntary overtime 3:30PM-6PM M-F, 6AM - 12PM Saturdays most weeks).
