Job Title: Lathe Machinist Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Lathe Manual Machinist to join our team on the 2nd shift. This role involves working from 4pm to 4am, Monday through Friday, with responsibilities including reading blueprints and cutting threads, particularly focusing on ball screw work. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using micrometers and precision measuring instruments, operating overhead cranes up to 50T capacity, and handling fork trucks and man lifts.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints to execute precise machining tasks.
Cut threads and perform extensive ball screw work.
Operate micrometers and precision measuring instruments with accuracy.
Utilize overhead cranes with a capacity of up to 50T.
Operate fork trucks and man lifts safely.
Manually lift 20-25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Essential Skills
High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to read blueprints.
Minimum of 2 years of experience with manual lathe operations and overhead cranes.
Proficiency with hand tools, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic lifts.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
5-10 years of lathe or CNC experience.
Experience working with large steel companies.
Advanced welding skills.
Experience with 50-ton overhead cranes.

Our facility spans 9 acres with over 100,000 square feet under roof and is equipped with 34 overhead and jib cranes. The machine shop has a 40-ton crane capacity, and the fabrication shop features a 65-ton crane capacity, while the assembly shop supports up to 100 tons. The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $56160.00/yr.
90 day wait period on benefits. Insurance, PTO, Holiday pay
