Job Title: Quality Inspector Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join our team as a Tier 3 automotive supplier. In this role, you will be responsible for approving first piece samples from approved drawings before production begins. You will perform periodic random inspections and approve/release parts for shipment to customers. Ensuring all specifications and fixtures are at the work stations, including drawings, quality instructions, approved first piece samples, and operator logs, will be crucial. You will examine products at the work stations to ensure dimensions are within tolerance, requiring the ability to use and read a tape measure accurately. Documenting all inspection results accordingly is a key part of the role.
Responsibilities
Approve first piece samples from approved drawings before production.
Perform periodic random inspections and approve/release parts for shipment.
Ensure all specifications and fixtures are present at work stations.
Examine products to verify dimensions are within tolerance using a tape measure.
Document inspection results accurately.
Essential Skills
Ability to read and understand a tape measure, including fractions.
Prior manufacturing or quality inspection experience of at least 6 months.
Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Experience in production, inspection, quality control, and assembly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency with calipers, blueprints, visual inspection, and packaging.
Experience with hand tools, general production, machine operation, and power tools.
Ability to operate a forklift and use micrometers.
Knowledge of quality assurance and quality checks.

The position is on the 2nd shift from 2:30pm to 11:00pm, Monday to Friday, with initial training on 1st shift for two weeks from 6:00am to 2:30pm.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $20.00/hr.
