There are three groups within the Pontiac Powertrain
Technician Team
Pallet Build Technicians
Assembly of automotive engines per engineering specifications. Assembled on a air pallet and moved into the dynamometer cell.
Engine Validation Technicians
Engine Validation is mechanical part swaps and stand testing via scripts. Working with prototype components.
Engine Development Technicians
Engine Development is calibration development, mechanical experiments, fabrication and manual test points to run. Preparing the engine in the vehicle for shipment to Milford for further vehicle testing once the engine is 30% calibrated.
Qualification Standards:
Assembly/Modification and/or Fabrication to existing Engines to prep for testing
Fabricate components on engine and test stand/dynos for testing
Instrumentations between the engine and the dyno
Assembly of engines on an "air Pallet"
TIG Welding parts and components
Will also be pre-prepping the engine prior to the testing that will occur on the dyno
HOURS
All technicians will start on first shift (days) before
moving to the assigned shift that you would have agreed on prior to accepting
the offer.

Over 100 Dynamometers which are testing Gas Engines,
Hybrid and Electric Motors, Transmissions, and experimental propulsion systems

This is a Contract position based out of PONTIAC, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $35.00/hr.
