Description
We are hiring a 2026 Interior Design Year RoundIntern to join our Global Design team! Working onsite part time 15-20 hours during the school year and 40 hours in the summer. In this role, you would be getting hands-on experience with a design team that works on projects from concept through execution. This is a great opportunity to gain experience with seasoned designers at an industry leading company. We do not create synthetic projects just for interns to work on, our intent is for interns to work as entry level designers in our studio working on explorations and projects from concept through execution. You'll play an integral role in the success of our upcoming showroom renovations in large metropolitan cities.
Position Requirements
This position requires on-site availability for 15-20 hours per week during the academic year, with a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week during the summer. Candidates must be within a commutable distance of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Candidates should submit a portfolio with application.
What You Will Be Doing:
Overall conceptual design and exploration of the customer experience
Brand storytelling through space
Space planning
Design and specifications of furnishings and finishes
Hands-on development of prototypes and custom design elements
Assistdesigners in project tasks, such as documenting projects, building digital models, and preparing for presentations
Supporting installations
Working with vendors to source material samples and keep design library organized and updated
Additionally, you'll enjoy the opportunity to regularly work and network with a wide variety of global teams to learn about other areas of design that may interest you, like materiality, product design, user experience design, etc.

Graduation Requirements
Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at a nationally accredited program.
Actively enrolled in a degree seeking program at the time of application and throughout the duration of the internship or co-op position.
Preferred majors for this position:Interior Design, Architectureconsidered
Preferred academic standing: Junior, Senior, or Graduate-level (Master's) student.
Work Authorization/Sponsorship
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The company will not offer sponsorships or work visas now or in the future for this role.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
Junior, Senior, or Graduate student status
Preferred degrees and disciplines: Interiors, Architecture
You should be proficient in: SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD
Experience with CET Designer,Enscape, Revit, Rhino, and Grasshopper are a bonus!

Strong communicationand organizational skills
Additional Details: This position involves frequent local travel and reliable transportation is required
