Job Title: Production Shift Lead Food Manufacturing – (Bilingual English/Spanish)
Location: Lincoln Park, MI
Shift: Monday – Friday 5:00AM – 2:30PM
Pay Rate: $19+ to start, exact rate based on experience
Position Overview:
The Production Shift Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating daily packaging and production operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality standards are consistently met. This role requires hands-on supervision of staff, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
Position Responsibilities:

Print and distribute production labels for daily packaging needs.

Assign and supervise staff across workstations, providing clear instructions and daily guidance.

Monitor production workflow, adjusting schedules to meet demand and resolve operational challenges.

Ensure all packaging and production activities comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), food safety regulations, and company quality standards.

Oversee employee performance by setting expectations, monitoring results, and providing feedback and coaching.

Train, mentor, and develop staff to build skills, achieve shift production quotas, and support career growth.

Foster a safe, clean, and organized work environment by enforcing housekeeping and safety standards.

Collaborate with other shift leaders to ensure smooth production handovers and consistent processes.

Record finished goods in the “Finished Product Packing Log” and verify product specifications.

Actively participate in production planning meetings to align staffing, schedules, and resources with company goals.

Enforce company policies and procedures while addressing performance or behavioral issues promptly and fairly.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management is a plus.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a warehouse environment, with at least 1 year in a lead role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and safety standards.
- Ability to speak and translate in both English and Spanish preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
- Ability to work in cold/freezer environments for extended periods.
- Standing, walking, and bending as part of daily duties.
