Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on various automotive systems using advanced automotive diagnostics tools and schematics.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, powertrains, electrical systems, and diesel engines with precision and efficiency.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machinery to complete repairs to manufacturer standards.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex issues such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and automotive electrical systems.
- Execute vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and tire rotations while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in auto estimating processes by accurately assessing repair needs and communicating with service advisors.
- Maintain detailed service records, ensure quality control, and uphold dealership standards for automotive service excellence.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or similar automotive service technician background with a solid understanding of vehicle repair processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles when applicable.
- Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems, transmissions, powertrain components.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, diagnosing issues using automotive diagnostics equipment, and performing complex repairs.
- Familiarity with ADAS technology, wheel alignment equipment, and vehicle maintenance best practices.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools safely and effectively.
