Role Overview: The Digital Strategy & Design Manager leads digital communications and engagement strategies to support Blue Cross Complete of Michigan's goals, brand, and outreach. This role manages digital platforms and content to deliver a cohesive, member-focused experience, requiring knowledge of member behavior, digital best practices, trends, and design innovation.
Work Arrangement:
- Remote - Associate must reside in Metro Detroit, Michigan (MI) area, and be available to attend several monthly meetings at our Southfield, MI location.
Responsibilities:
Manage and support digital strategies aligned with the company's strategic direction, its parent organizations, and the health plan's overall brand and outreach objectives.
Oversee the health plan's digital platforms, including four social media channels, website, member portal, mobile application, texting campaigns, employee newsletters, e-blasts, and the annual report.
Design and maintain a consistent social media presence across four platforms by producing graphics and digital advertisements monthly.
Monitor and manage online communities by responding to user-generated comments and feedback to foster a positive, engaging brand experience.
Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and execute a comprehensive, cross-channel content strategy, including annual planning, content calendars, and ongoing updates.
Research and identify new content opportunities, digital best practices, emerging platforms, technologies, and trends to enhance engagement and innovation.
Utilize Hootsuite to publish content, manage scheduling, and evaluate digital and social media analytics.
Coordinate tracking of digital performance metrics and analytics, and support end-user testing in collaboration with social media vendors and corporate partners.
Manage website content from concept through execution, including creating, editing, and maintaining content on new and existing pages.
Collaborate with internal teams, external agencies, and vendor partners to create content and optimize user experience across digital channels.
Support general copywriting needs and content development for emails, social media, marketing materials, member communications, and website content.
Apply graphic design principles, digital best practices, and brand standards to ensure consistency, accessibility, and effectiveness across all assets.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree required.
5 to 10 years of professional experience in communications, marketing, digital strategy, website content management, or social media management.
Experience supporting digital initiatives within a highly regulated or brand-driven environment is preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign and Photoshop
Strong experience with social media scheduling, monitoring, and analytics.
Experience using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) content management system to manage website content.
Demonstrated expertise in brand management, art direction, and adherence to brand standards and guidelines.
Solid writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging across diverse audiences and platforms.
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with a strong customer-focused mindset.
Ability to analyze digital performance data and apply insights to improve engagement, usability, and outcomes.
