Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Job Description
We are seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to join our team working with heavy diesel and mining equipment. The role involves performing preventative maintenance and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as diesel engines in a mining environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Perform diesel engine maintenance and repairs in a mining environment.
Troubleshoot and diagnose engine repairs to identify the root cause of failures or issues.
Maintain and repair heavy diesel equipment including dump trucks, haul trucks, loaders, drills, and conveyors.
Work on pumps, compressors, and pneumatic tooling.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in diesel repair, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance.
Ability to work on Tier 4 engines and DPF systems.
Experience in heavy equipment component repair and fleet maintenance.
Capability to perform diagnostics and engine repair for heavy diesel equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Diesel repair certifications such as Cat, Komatsu, Diesel repair state or ASE.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience working on diesel equipment in an industrial environment.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience working with heavy diesel equipment including dump trucks, haul trucks, loaders, drills, and conveyors.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience with pumps, compressors, and pneumatic tooling.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in hydraulic and pneumatic preventative maintenance on skid steers, transport vehicles, bulldozers, and cranes.
