Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator Job Description
The Heavy Equipment Operator - Sewer Crew is responsible for safely operating excavation and earth-moving equipment to support the installation, repair, and replacement of sewer and water mains. This role requires precise equipment operation while working in close coordination with ground crews, often with employees working inside trench excavations. Safety, communication, and situational awareness are critical.
Responsibilities
Operate excavation and earth-moving equipment safely and efficiently.
Support the installation, repair, and replacement of sewer and water mains.
Work in close coordination with ground crews to ensure safety and precision.
Maintain situational awareness while operating equipment near trench excavations.
Essential Skills
5 years of experience operating dozers, excavators, or front-end loaders.
5 years of underground experience with storm drains, sewer pipes, and water mains.
Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, and backhoes.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction plans.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
