Essential Job Functions:

Understands and follows all safety practices and procedures.
Operate all areas of the wash plant.
Perform preventive maintenance, inspects, dismantles, lubricates and assembles equipment.
Can do minor welding and burning.
Help provide advice concerning the length, cost, complexity and extent of required repairs.
Help keep track of spare part inventory and help with replacement orders.
Help operates and maintains required pumps to operate the wash plant.
Other Job Functions:
Receive and follow instructions from Shift Managers.
Works alone at times.
Samples products.
Cleans all areas throughout wash plant.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to learn all aspects of the wash plant system, including required pumps.
Ability to do minor welding and burning.
Ability to analyze, evaluate and detect malfunctioning wash plant equipment and make the necessary repairs.
Ability to train and supervise subordinate Plant Techs.
Ability to work and communicate with others as a team.
Physical Requirements:
Work in this class will include sitting, bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.), heavy lifting with assistance. Work will include both indoor and outdoor activity where the employee is exposed to the elements of nature. Employee will be working with oil, grease, and chemicals and is expected to use proper PPE. Employee must be able to maneuver in tight places, climb ladders, step on and off equipment, and operate a motor vehicle. Must wear the required safety apparel in all areas of the job function.
