Job Title: Press Operator Job Description
The Press Operator I is responsible for operating a brake press or automatic press, with assistance, to produce parts that meet specifications and productivity standards. This role may include inspecting and boxing parts and maintaining production logs. The position offers flexibility with two shift options: 1st shift runs from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, while 3rd shift runs from 4:30 pm to 4:00 am Monday through Thursday and 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm on Fridays.
Responsibilities
Produce parts to specifications to meet customer quality and quantity needs.
Update production logs daily.
Perform and document preventive maintenance of dies.
Maintain work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and orderly condition, adhering to safety regulations.
Inspect parts during production for defects and report quality issues to the appropriate supervisor.
Replace details as required to ensure quality parts are produced.
Load and label parts in boxes, bins, or drums with correct part and quantity.
Plan ahead for steel and shipping containers to ensure machines continue running efficiently.
Follow procedures for press run initiation, die changeover, and scrap management.
Detect and report problems with materials or conditions that could affect quality or completion of duties.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of lots, heats, quantity, and claims in Global Shop and Smart Pack.
Operate a powered industrial truck (forklift) as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $13.95 - $20.75/hr.
