Description
The position duties will include:
Project Management
Lead cross-functional teams in the design, deployment, and start-up for chassis emissions test facilities.
Delivery of quality, timing, and financial objectives of a project
Process driven approach, capable of managing complex installations which will require detailed design work.
Test Engineering as it pertains to:
Troubleshooting support for site maintenance
Identifying and implementing operational quality and efficiency opportunities
Support of power-train development assisting in detailed data analysis and test validation
Process development / optimization for evaporative & tailpipe emissions testing
Test method development
Support power-train emissions development, U.S. Certification, Homologation, & VE problem resolution
Support development of xHEV/EV/ICE product development / certification through the design of test procedures / facilities / equipment to efficiently and effectively develop the product.
Support the development of new equipment / test methodologies required to meet new emissions and fuel economy requirements.
Delivery of financial objectives of the department(s) and the team
Additional assignments as necessary to deliver corporate objectives.
Skills & Qualifications
Position Qualifications:
Experience writing / generating technical equipment specifications.
Working knowledge of basic chemistry
Experience with data analysis (Mini-Tab, etc.)
Basic electronics troubleshooting experience.
Working knowledge of statistics & statistical process controls
Other:
Required BS in mechanical or electrical Engineering.
LabView programming skills desired
Power-train experience preferred.
Motivated/Self starter
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to adjust to changing requirements.
Flexible work schedule
MS Office Suite (Excel, Project, Word)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allen Park, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr.
