CDL A Laborers
$23.00 per hour with a CDL A + prevailing wages
PK Contracting, Inc., Michigan’s leading pavement marking contractor, is looking for people to join our team in Troy, MI for the 2026 construction season.
The road worker position will perform general labor activities associated with the installation of various types of pavement markings. Driving and operating equipment are required. All work is performed outdoors, on all types of Michigan roadways. May use specialized equipment to place and remove pavement markings that are important for worker and public safety as well as project efficiency.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Work on a team with others
- Driving and maneuvering in constricted areas
- Perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, lifting, peeling
- Traffic device placement and removal
- Possess effective communication skills
- A safety-conscious attitude
- Attention to detail
- Ability to read and use a tape measure
- Ability to use and apply basic math skills
- Possess a good sense of direction and ability to read a map
Requirements
- A valid CDL A
- Good driving record (driving records are obtained on applicants)
- Ability to pass a physical and drug screen
- Safety-conscious attitude
- Good attitude and willingness to learn
- Be on time
- This is a seasonal position
