The Impact You'll Make
As our Tax Preparer Systems Accountant, you’ll be the go-to expert for integrating accounting principles with technology solutions. Using the latest in tax preparation software and various accounting software for payroll, time keeping and ERP systems; your professional skills will increase with wide variety of knowledge that will be provided to you in training and partnership of customer projects.
What You'll Do
- Interview clients, prepare business and personal tax returns.
- Manage and optimize our accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with our clients.
- Design and maintain automated workflows for invoicing, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop dashboards and reporting tools that provide real-time financial insights.
- Ensure data integrity by performing regular system audits and reconciliations.
- Partner with IT to integrate accounting systems with other business tools (CRM, inventory, payroll).
- Train clients on accounting software system use and best practices to maximize adoption and efficiency.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in tax preparation for businesses and personal returns and accounting with a strong focus on systems and process improvement.
- Proficiency in tax preparation, accounting software, payroll and ERP systems; experience with SAP and system integrations is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate financial needs into technical solutions.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to explain complex systems in plain language.
- Organizational skills and follow through on projects to completion.
