What Account Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Customer Service is responsible for establishing, maintaining and enhancing customer business through contract administration, customer orders, and problem resolution.
Account Management is responsible for cultivating and maintaining on-going customer relationships with an assigned set of customers. Provides new and existing customers with the best possible service and recommendations in relation to billing inquiries, service requests, improvements to internal and external processes, and other areas of opportunity. Provides product service information to customers and identifies upselling opportunities to maintain and increase income streams from customer relationships.
The Solution Operations team empowers pharmacies through delivering solutions that enable them to act on critical business insights, drive operational efficiencies, and services supporting providers' efforts to deliver the best possible care they can to the patients in their communities.
This position is responsible for proactively leading relationships with critical vendor partners that enable Cardinal Health to deliver industry leading services to our customers. The Senior Manager of Solution Vendor Partnerships will develop and maintain strategic relationships with external suppliers, focusing on contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and ensuring vendor alignment with our customer and organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
Relationship Management: Building and maintaining long-term, productive relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Contract Negotiation: Leading negotiations on pricing, service level agreements (SLAs), and terms to maximize ROI and ensure compliance.
Performance Monitoring: Assessing vendor performance through KPIs and metrics, driving continuous improvement, and addressing underperformance.
Risk Mitigation: Mitigating risks associated with third-party vendors and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaboration: Working with internal teams (procurement, operations, finance) to translate business needs into effective vendor strategies.
Communication: Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization internally as well as with vendor partners
Documentation: Maintaining documentation on critical vendor contract terms to ensure all parties are compliant with agreements
Financial Acumen: Understanding the financial implications of a change to a vendor relationship in the context of existing budgets and ensuring alignment with key Product Management and Finance business partners.
Collaborative with internal stakeholders/resources, customers, and prospective customers
Analytical environment requiring significant organizational skills, strategic planning, and communication.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
5+ years pharmacy experience.
5+ years customer facing experience
Background in pharmacy preferred
Excellent communications, presentation and writing skills
Aggressive style that is action oriented and results focused.
Superior communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to collaborate with internal resources to drive a great customer experience
Ability to travel 10% of the time.
Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
Superior leadership and decision-making skills.
Strong project management skills including the ability to facilitate multidiscipline teams.
Excellent presentation skills.
Background in pharmacy operations, or pharmaceutical sales preferred
