The Safety and Crashworthiness CAE Engineer would be responsible for supporting the development and validation of vehicle safety performance using advanced computer-aided engineering (CAE) simulations. This role focuses on predicting, evaluating, and optimizing vehicle crashworthiness and occupant protection performance to meet regulatory, consumer, and internal safety targets throughout the vehicle development lifecycle.
What You Will Do:
Perform structural crashworthiness and occupant safety simulations (frontal, side, rear, rollover, pedestrian protection, etc.)
Execute occupant safety simulations with dummy and human body models and evaluate occupant injury performance
Perform correlation studies between CAE results and physical crash test data
Use FE analysis to guide physical test plans and develop test matrices
