We made history and now we work to transform the future - for our customers, our communities and our families. You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. At Ford, you can build more than vehicles. Come build what matters.
In this position...
The Global Voice of the Customer Fleet (VoCF) Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the highest levels of vehicle quality through rigorous real-world fleet testing and global process refinement. This role leads the strategy for identifying and resolving potential customer concerns before a vehicle reaches the market by overseeing fleet operations, technical testing, and global data modernization.
This leadership role is critical to achieving launch excellence by validating vehicle performance in real-world environments. The Supervisor will drive success by leading, mentoring, and empowering a high-performing team and will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure new models meet Ford's quality standards.
What you'll do...
Global Strategy & Leadership: Serve as the global lead for VoCF fleet regions, ensuring alignment of testing standards across all markets.
Data Analytics and Modernization: Lead the modernization of data collection and analytical systems to accelerate issue detection and resolution. Lead high-impact special projects with cross-functional teams on predictive quality metrics and reaction procedures.
Operations & Resource Management: Oversee yearly departmental budgets and the administration of Purchase Orders (POs). Manage the inventory and deployment of vehicle data recorders and ensure global test facilities are equipped for modern requirements, including Electric Vehicle (EV) testing and high-mileage emissions teardowns.
Launch Control & Technical Testing: Manage specialized portable test equipment, including mobile wind tunnels, environmental chambers, and Squeak & Rattle (S&R) tools across multiple launches.
Quality Process Improvement: Maintain and evolve the Voice of the Customer Fleet section of the Launch Quality Operating System (LQOS). Proactively implement "lessons learned" from field service actions to update testing processes and inspection checklists.
Issue Resolution & Integration: Oversee the process of addressing concerns raised by early customer feedback vehicles. Ensure these issues are documented, dimensioned, and resolved by the appropriate engineering teams prior to the official launch.
Facility & Equipment Readiness: Ensure all necessary resources and diagnostic tools are available for the global fleet teams to execute high-mileage, environmental, and special testing.
Reporting & Communication: Proactively identify and communicate quality risks discovered during fleet testing to senior leadership. Clearly articulate the status of fleet health and the resolution progress of critical customer-facing issues.
Team Leadership: Responsibly allocate team resources across different programs based on workload and technical requirements. Manage personnel functions, including professional development and technical training.
Collaboration: Work extensively and cross-functionally with Launch Specialists, Product Development, and leadership spanning all levels to drive integrated quality solutions.
