Job Title: Tooling Coordinator
Job Description
A Tooling Asset Coordinator is responsible for managing, tracking, and maintaining physical tools and equipment. This role ensures tools are available, compliant, and properly maintained by handling inventory, scheduling repairs, coordinating with vendors, conducting audits, and overseeing the entire asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal. The aim is to achieve operational efficiency and safety, often using specialized software.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records of all tooling assets using asset management software.
Conduct regular audits to ensure real-time visibility of all tools.
Schedule routine maintenance and coordinate third-party repairs to minimize downtime.
Assist in ordering new tools and processing purchase requisitions.
Manage relationships with vendors.
Ensure all tools meet safety standards and manage safety inspections.
Maintain compliance with company policies.
Oversee tool storage, staging areas, and internal movement.
Provide data and reports on asset status, usage, and costs.
Essential Skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word.
Experience in inventory management and tracking.
Skills in engineering change and tool crib management.

This is a Contract position based out of Orion, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
