Job Title: Diesel Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to perform comprehensive bumper-to-bumper repairs on diesel vehicles, primarily trucks. The role involves supporting development engineers with diesel engine and truck work, including mechanical and electrical tasks. You will be responsible for part swaps, teardown and rebuild, diagnostics, and repairs. This position may also require off-site development trip support.
Responsibilities
Perform bumper-to-bumper repairs and troubleshoot/diagnose repairs and electrical issues on vehicles.
Support development engineers with mechanical and electrical tasks on diesel engines and trucks.
Conduct part swaps, teardowns, and rebuilds.
Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel vehicles.
Participate in off-site development trips and provide repair support during test rides.
Work closely with the team lead to receive and complete work tickets.
Bring vehicles from the lot into the garage, put them on a lift, and carry out necessary repairs.
Essential Skills
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose diesel issues, including codes and running problems.
Strong mechanical skills.
Experience with diesel engines and diagnostics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Fabrication skills, including welding (MIG, TIG), are a significant bonus.
2 Year Technical Degree from an institution such as UNOH or Baker College.
At least 8 years of experience, although candidates with a strong diesel
A chauffeur's license is a nice-to-have due to the weight of trucks.
Dealership experience with diesels is beneficial.
Ability to work effectively as a team player, admitting mistakes, and having a strong work ethic.
Work Environment
The work environment involves working on diesel engine development on-site for five days a week. You can choose between two available schedules: 5-8 hour days from 6 AM to 2:30 PM or 4-10 hour days from 5 AM to 3:30 PM. The role offers the opportunity to work with new technology in a development role, providing a dynamic environment where each day brings different tasks and learning opportunities.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
